Did you read that 16 boys born in the UK have been called "Kofi" - presumably in honour of the crook and moral deviant that runs the United Nations. 6 other babies were called Blade - one assume in tribute to the Vampire hunting character played by Wesley Snipes. However both these obscurist names are trumped by the 22 babies called "Spike" - and this is where I take issue with the survey's conclusion that this must be in relation to a character from Buffy, the Vampire Slayer. It could just as easily in tribute to Spike Milligan - the now deceased popular entertainer, it could be in tribute to the bulldog in the "Tom and Gerry" popular cartoons, or it could even be film producer Spike Lee. I wonder how many babies born will be called Saddam, or perhaps Osama?
DV, I'm a teenager, with TIME on my hands, its worrying. I scare myself how I could just spend a week doing nothing at all.
As I gather, I don't beleive you are an adolescent, so how do you find the time to research such useless facts as these?

Hi Daniel,
I am indeed no longer a teenage! One man's usless fact is another man's golden nugget!

>>I'm a teenager, with TIME on my hands<<
Daniel, TIME is a waste of time.
Use your time to read something sensible and your TIME to light the fire.

Speaking of youngsters with time on their hands and useless facts - did you know it's literally true that time passes faster the older you get?
The reason is something to do with your biological clock slowing down, so that everything seems to you to happen more quickly. In extreme cases people cannot drive because they just see traffic rushing towards them like a film in fast motion.
Plus here's one on the name thing: apparently if your middle name is "Wayne" you're more likely to be a criminal.

Those 22 boys are probably named 'Spike' after the legend that is 'Glenn Ferguson'.
Well done to those parents!

Frank,
I heard a different explanation for the reason that time seems to pass faster the older you get.
If you're (say) 50, then a year is 2% of your life so far. If you're 10, a year is 10%.
QED.

Peter, you beat me to it!
When you're 4 it's a quarter of your life till Santa comes again.

Daniel:
Youth is wasted on the young. Go outdoors, play some ball, chat up some girl, and leave the solutions to the world's problems to us geezers.

Mahons, it was probably after seening some of the solutions to the world's problems proposed by the geezers here that he thought he had to intervene.
