Mmm, I don't want readers to concentrate on the main thrust of this story. Micro-ethnic cleansing has been a feature of interface life in Ulster for a very long time. What concerned me was the response of the local police commander, Gary White:
'The area will continue to be monitored. However, this is not an issue that can be resolved by policing alone, and officers within the DCU are keen to meet with the local community and other agencies to work together to find a solution.'
Oooh, I wonder who the 'other agencies' are? The Provisionals and the UVF, perhaps? You may be subtle, Mr White. You aren't subtle enough if indeed it is the help of illegal, murdering terrorist organisations that you seek.
why is it that when catholics are attacked its national and international news but sustained attacks on Protestants warrent only local (protestant media) attention ?
wheres the equlity here ? wheres the justice ?
what must we do to end the humiliation ? society is failing us the goverment are failing us and the media and the NIO are persecuting us. someone has to do something but when anyone moves in to defend this area of course it'll be 'big bad prods' time again..........
utterly sickening.

This is disgusting - the PSNI should ensure that the area is properly policed and that the scum responsible for these attacks are apprehended and punished.

that would be nice, however their constituents would be left at a disadvantage......
