No, that's not my terminology but rather that of the UK's Deputy Prime Minister Mr John Prescott.
It is reported that the Jabba the Hutt lookalike has given vent to his private feelings about the Bush presidency, summing up George Bush's administration in a single word: crap.
The Deputy Prime Minister's condemnation of President Bush and his approach to the Middle East could cause a diplomatic row but it will please Labour MPs who are furious about Tony Blair's backing of the United States over the bombing of Lebanon. The remark is said to have been made at a private meeting in Mr Prescott's Whitehall office on Tuesday with Muslim MPs and other Labour MPs with constituencies representing large Muslim communities. Muslim MPs wanted to press home their objections to British foreign policy and discuss ways of improving relations with the Muslim communities.
OK - let's cut to the chase. Prescott is an idiot with the political skills of an amoeba, but with rather less backbone. Americans should be pleased that this obese imbecile should think so little of President Bush, in fact an endorsement of Bush from Prezza might be a worry! Now of course he was also fawning over those Muslims present - demonstrating that whilst he may be thick he has enough sense to realise that being a Dhimmi is going to win friends and favour from ROP voters.
Having considered the wisdom of the Deputy Prime Minister, the only conclusion we can have is; Prescott is crap! So WHY do Brown and Blair allow this clown to stay in office?
I think this 'reporting' of a remark supposedly made by John Prescott at a private meeting is yet another desperate attempt to get rid of the man. Even his own party think the man is comtemptable and should go. I may be wrong but don't think he had anything to say on the latest terror crisis. Amazing how he can find the time between his various 'sports' activities to kow tow to
our so steeped in democracy Muslim MPs.

or an attempt to play two hands at once,
labour are not blind to the fact that their own hate them and the middle classes have a 'clean slate' with mark 2 (also knowen as david cameron).

Perhaps, but he succeeded in getting himself elected and in holding high office. Oh that others had managed to scale that slippery slope.

Perhaps Prescott is tolerated so that he doesn't spill the beans?

The Independent shouts "Bush is crap, says Prescott".
It follows up with
John Prescott has given vent to his private feelings about the Bush presidency, summing up George Bush's administration in a single word: crap."
But for those interested enough to read on, all is not as it seems.
the Independent belatedly makes clear the true nature of Mr. Prescott's supposed comprehensive assessment of both George Bush himself (the headline), his administration, and even his entire presidency (the lede):
"'He was talking in the context of the "road map" in the Middle East. He said he only gave support to the war on Iraq because they were promised the road map. But he said the Bush administration had been crap on that.'"
Far from the categorical summation we were promised, I think you'll agree.
I'm truly at a loss to explain how a professional journalist like Mr. Brown can make such a broad claim in his first sentence, only to have his sole source completely undermine the extent of that claim later in the story.

I just want to point out for the sake of Star Wars canon that Jabba the Hutt is spelled with two T's.
Carry on.

I have to agree with Ding Dong's comment. This man is so universally reviled by all that the information he has from twenty years at the very heart of both Old and Nu-Labour must be the only reason why he remains there.

Perhaps they let him stay because he takes a lot of heat off them. Just a thought.
