Looks like there is a brewing storm in the Liberal-Democrats with defeated Leadership candidate Simon Hughes warning Ming the Merciless that he either raises his game or else! The line is that Ming is good on Foreign Affairs but poor on matters domestic. His performances at PMQ's have been essential vewing - he is truly AWFUL. However I wonder just what are the Liberal Democrats FOR, exactly? With Dave Cameron's NuConservative's embracing a liberal agenda, maybe they should pack up shop? I know that they have pockets of support around the country but there is no real leadership available, Ming is probably the best of a wretched bunch, and with the MSM having succeeded in ratcheting the Tories leftwards, who needs Lid-Dem's when we've got Lib-Cons?
I must say i have always seen the Lin Dems as a wishy washy meaningless party that are just there, but with no real purpose.

Hughes would not have been much better, they should have voted for Chris Huhne when they had the chance. He would have injected some fresh blood into their party. Since the resurgence of the Conservatives they have lost a lot of ground.

But the resurgence of the Tories is entirely because Cameron has persuaded the public that they are a wishy washy meaningless party instead of being the nasty party.

Quite right Craig. The Tories are ratcheting onto Liberal ground, thus making them useless. What a pyrrhic victory.
