I watched the BBC coverage of the May Day protests by illegal immigrants in disgust. Once more the liberal media presents the issue in the most cloying and biased manner. This protest, we were informed, was reminiscent of the Civil Rights marches in the 1960's. One slight problem with this - these people now parading through US cities chose to enter the United States illegally and show scant regard for the LAW of the United States. I'm with Debbie Schlussel when she says ..." If we really saw a day without illegal aliens, we'd see a day with less taxes taken out of paychecks to pay for the services they are leeching and usurping courtesy of the American taxpayer."
The arrogance of those who demand "open borders" and the abandonment of the rule of law is quite stunning. I liked the quote "A country without a border isn't a country." from Fmr. CO Gov. Dick Lamm. Too right. Of course none of the BBC pictures showed any images that might make one question the motivations of all these illegals. I think we can all work out why!
