So, what's the big surprise?

The head of Al-Qu'eda in Iraq has established a new terror network in Britain which is recruiting young Muslim fanatics to fight coalition troops. Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the decapitator of innocent men and women and poster boy for the Jihad brigade, has recently set up the group to recruit and train would-be suicide bombers and gunmen, counter-terrorism officials have said.

The new group, Ansar al-Fath — Partisans of Victory — is an offshoot of Ansar al-Islam, an organisation that is STILL not banned under new anti-terror rules announced by Charles Clarke, the home secretary, last week.  Ansar al-Fath provides logistical support to foreign fighters in Iraq and uses the internet to find new recruits for Zarqawi.

Government officials say a “steady trickle” of about 70 young Muslim men have travelled to Iraq from Britain in the past two years. They warn that some newly trained “professional jihadists” have returned here and may be planning attacks.

Look, the UK is in denial that militant Islam is at war with us and wants to kill us until we submit to their mad plans to return us to the 8th century! What is needed is a recognition why groups like Ansar-al islam are still not banned. We are pussy-footing about even as the Jihadists prepare to launch further attacks on our freedom.

The problem is there is a way, but Blair is obsessed with making new laws that limit our freedoms rather than combat the enemy directly. I hope the new Conservative leader can expose our weakness and LEAD.

The subway bombings weren't bloody enough. The only way you will get a proper reaction out of your govt is for more attacks to take place. Rememmber they have coddled and forgiven Irish terror for decades. How do you think their going to try and fight Islamic terror. Remember your govt believes its tactics for dealing with the IRA has brought you peace with them.
