You have such a way with words Andrew I love to read what you've written.

Just so you know - my 4 year old almost crapped her pants in fear when I was teaching her the Glory Be because I said 'Holy Ghost' instead of 'Holy Spirit'. LOL! It's a shame. Too much Scooby Doo I guess. I tried explaining to her and then just said, 'Oh to hell with it' and said the prayer with 'Holy Spirit'.

As far as the eucharist goes - we Catholics are supposed to believe that the bread and wine ACTUALLY turn into the body and blood of Jesus. I always thought that was a bit bizarre even as a kid and am teaching my kids that it is symbolic - but I've never claimed to be a very good Catholic. I told both of them that they are not to argue with the nuns about it though.

So after my long windedness I'm wondering if they aren't teaching that the bread and wine are symbolic of the body and blood - what is it? Just a get together to eat and drink bread and wine?

Many thanks for the compliment. As someone who has a very poor opinion of his own abilities, it is always nice to get a bit of reassurance. Much appreciated.
