I was sorry to read that Monsignor Denis Faul has died after a long battle with cancer. I contend that Denis Faul was one of the good guys, who spoke out against terrorism, and who often incurred the wrath of Republicans for his forthright views. I did not agree with many things he said, but I did admire his bravery of swimming against the tide. RIP.
I'm terribly sorry to hear this David - he was a brave and honourable man. I remember him from my days at Royal School Dungannon.

Sad indeed. I hope, despite the cancer, that he had an easy end. RIP

A great loss to our society. Men like Denis were and remain few on the ground.

A good, courageous and sincere man. I knew him well and liked and respected him immensely. I'm deeply saddened. He is a big loss to this society without any shadow of doubt.
