Candid Cameron

What a complete and utter ass we have as leader of the once great Conservatives.  Having taken the party closer to the ideological bosom of Heath than at any time since 1974, Cameron is now attacking those who act as markers for people with true Conservative principles.  According to Fauntleroy, the UK Independence Party comprises a bunch of 'loonies' and 'closet racists'; an analysis obviously not shared by many within his own party.  In the eyes of 'Call me Dave', a movement seeking to return the UK to a situation where it is not totally beholden to the policies formulated by foreign states is essentially mentally unstable; whilst anyone who doesn't want this country saturated with half of the globe's human traffic, who make whoopee thanks to the EU's ludicrous immigration, asylum and citizenship laws is a 'closet racist'.  And all from the mouth of a man who is basically a closet.

We were told by the Lefty media that the Conservatives would have to occupy the centre-ground (i.e. become Labour with caviar) in order to reap electoral dividends.  After five months of being inundated with uber-Liberal buffoonery by he of the silver spoon, the Conservatives are making no more headway now than they were under Hague or Duncan Smith.  The issue is not abandonment of principle.  The issue is confronting and defeating a British media empire overwhelmingly dominated by children of the Left - the same media who have done more to sully the cause of true Conservatism by their presentations to the British public than any one leader.  Cameron should be keen on making his party a 'catch-all' movement incorporating the significant numbers who agree with the policies of the UKIP, not some blue-tinged essentially Labour-lite pinko with no backbone whatsoever.

Either suits Cameron.

I don't think P G Wodehouse would have agreed with you Allan.

In the days when I first knew him Bobbie Cardew was about the most pronounced young rotter inside the four-mile radius. People have called me a silly ass, but I was never in the same class with Bobbie. When it came to being a silly ass, he was a plus-four man, while my handicap was about six.

from "My Man Jeeves".

Ah! But do you mean 'ass' as in donkey or 'ass' as in backside? AS DV suggests, either will do for Cameron but I prefer the latter.

As Andrew is justifiably proud of his English heritage I would assume he was using it in the proper manner :)

Just a chuckle - BBC Radio 2 asked for suggestions as to how to kill time while travelling - one suggestion came in - occupy the children while driving through Scotland by getting them to play count the dead swans.
