Excellent post on Right from Scotland on the topic of Al Queda's largely unreported exit strategy from Iraq! This is the one the UK MSM will NOT be rushing to cover, in detail, anyday soon...
With recent figures showing 15 deaths a day at the hands of terrorists compared with 70 a day in a secret police basement it is not surprising that the wave of optimism sweeping Iraq has forced Osama’s little messengers to subvert their authority to the Syrians running the bulk of the northern operations. But until now this story has went unreported because it would spoil the flow of the Vietnamisation of the conflict for the left wing of the world.
Now even the BBC has to report on it, although it true al-Beeb style they report it with a headline tone that marks the change of command of a legitimate army instead of one maniac being ousted by other maniacs because his policy of killing Iraqis with impunity is failing to win “hearts and minds”.
the iraq nation has every right to resist the occupation, even the military on the ground admit this and they make the distinction between the two resistive elements. the iraqi resistance has continued to attack military targets and not the civilian population, although they do attack "traitors". the generally foriegn jihadi elements are determined to foment civil war by causing inter tribal violence. the iraqi resistance has finally had enough of this and have been pressuring the al queda factions to ship out. this is a positive step for the iraqis, especially civilians, but i dont think it will dampen their resolve to hit back at the occupiers.
