Money to Burn

Godfather McGuinness has got himself rather highly strung (he should be) because the Bush Administration has not yet decided whether or not to facilitate the demand of Sinn Fein to raise yet more dollars from the wallets of the Lloyd Christmases and Harry Dunnes of American political fundraising.  The usual blarney has been thrown around the media arena: 'we need da money for da peas (sic) process', etc (what about the £26 million your boys took from Joe Public, Marty?).  A cursory look at the Brownshirts' website reveals that they have their odious spooks raising cash for the 'cause' in a number of far flung destinations around the globe - American, Canada, Australia, New Zealand.  No doubt they will also be passing the hat around in places like Cordoba province in Colombia, Grozy, Ramallah, Havana and deepest Afghanistan.

This latest story concerning Sinn Fein's attempt to bleed gullible pillocks dry struck me with a thought. Do you know of any political movement that has to go cap-in-hand around the world to fund its agenda?  Furthermore, do you know of a movement in the world that would even have the requisite quantity of shameless cheek to not only strip capitalist benefactors of money to fund an essentially Marxist philosophy, but also to take the biggest slice of foreign funding from a country they broadly despise?

Yes, that's right, 'broadly despise'.  For the American readers here who have to tolerate these slimebuckets crawling across your country like some terrorist MRSA to reign in the 'spondoolies' (London colloquialism for money), it may be of interest for you to know that this organisation has explicit and implicit links to a large panoply of anti-American revolutionary movements around the world.  There are connections with North Korea, Cuba, Palestinian militants (the same people who were videoed cheering the day the Twin Towers were brought down), and FARC in Colombia to name but a few.  In addition, Sinn Fein/IRA supporters have been at the vanguard of virtually every anti-war and anti-capitalist protest held in the Irish Republic.  It's like continuously bailing out a 'mate' only to discover he never liked you in the first place.  I believe they call it 'being taken for a mug.'
