OUR LIPS ARE SEALED
Methodist minister the Rev Harold Good has said that he will take the secrets of IRA decommissioning to the grave. While the DUP and UUP are to meet separately with Mr Good to seek answers to a range of questions on the disarmament process, he said that he was bound by a vow of silence over the details of the arms event.
So, the Rev Good is making it 100% clear that he puts his word to a gang of murdering terrorists ahead of his responsibility to tell the law abiding people of Northern Ireland what he saw, where he saw it and who showed him.
The media and the political establishment have some very key objectives to sell to the unionist people of Northern Ireland this week. Foremost amongst these is the proposition that IRA nominated clerical witnesses are beyond criticism. Rubbish! The DUP has not said that Good and Reid are liars. They are saying that we have every reason to query clerical participation in an IRA organised event the outcome of which they refuse to tell us - taking the "secret to their graves"
Stop changing your tune, just as the DUP have done today.
Simpson tonight on Hearts and Minds was at pains to insist DUP was never questioning the Rev Good's integrity...what a joke.
They've been doing that all week, just like you have.
Perhaps you should erase the 'Danny Boy' thread. The DUP, and that lamentable eejit Simpson, have come on to Kennedy's ground now.

iluvni,
Can't you read?
I AM questioning the integrity of anyone who volunteers to help the IRA. I AM challenging the authenticity of their allegations about IRA decommissioning. I AM suggesting that they are either useful fools or knaves.
Now - the DUP can answer for themselves but I reckon that there are plenty of Unionists who take my line. The fact that Danny Boy and Homer Simpson lack the spherical objects to state this is THEIR problem, not mine.
Is that clear enough for you? Do you need me to spell it out for you further? Or are you now clear that I have NO TIME for clerical clowns.

Was the Methodist Church attacked in Belfast last night attacked because of Rev. Good's involvement with the IICD or by nationalists?
Anyone know?

Might it be the securicrats making Good look better? Mmmmm..

Is this the first time Fun Boy Three has featured on ATW?
Anyway... I am sorry but I'm a bit dubious about the Methodist establishment, and hence of Good (regardless of his personal track record - which is even more discouraging).
I used to think of Methodists as an alternative flavour of Presbyterian (not that I have much faith in Presbyterians, to judge by our corrupted liberal Mother Church in Scotland)... but in recent years all the talk about Methodists submitting to a merger with the Anglicans has robbed Methodism of all credibility.
I am sure most Presbyterians would feel the same. Typical of SF's "sensitivity" to not understand that the leading protestant church in NI might not have a few issues with Methodists. I guess in their eyes we are just an undifferentiated hun mass - and a Methodist is the same as a Presbyterian as an Anglican as a Free Presbyterian.
Not that SF would care to go into the nuances - they just wanted a patsy.

Funny how Blair/Hain rushed headlong into all-out war against Iraq on non-existent evidence of weapons which no-one can prove that the Iraqis ever had, and disregarded the experienced and perfectly qualified weapons inspector Hans Blix.
"The intelligence I saw frightened the life out of me and made me even more convinced that we should deal with Saddam Hussein than I had been before" - Peter Hain, speaking as Commons Leader, 13th July 2003
--------------
Yet in NI Blair/Hain rush headlong into peace with the IRA on the non-existent evidence of weapons which no-one can prove that the IRA have decommissioned at all, and have fully embraced the word of inexperienced and totally unqualified weapons inspectors Good and Reid.
Go figure...

That man Read has been fraternising with and facilitating the IRA for years , from what i can see of Harry Good , his scriptural positions and his attitude towards unrepentant murders , not meaning to be rude, he's a half wit.
How can anyone be expected to have any faith in this high theatrics, smoke and mirror nonsense after the torment the Republicans subjected the innocent people in Northern Ireland to, to make a tired point isnt the difference in the treatment of terrorists by the British goverment when they attack their citizens in Ulster compared to the treatment of those who attack the English disgusting ? given the merry dance of Tony Blair and his mate Gerry, I ask myself more and more every day, what exactly remains of the society we are loyal to? Are we not loyal to a social /political/religious structure that has , in so many respects , ceased to exsist ?

"not meaning to be rude, he's a half wit."
Not meaning to be rude at all, but you're an ignorant, twisted, illiterate, sad and bitter and totally pointless individual...no offence!

I remember the line from a Monty Python movie...
"If it's not a personal question, are you a virgin?"
