Perhaps one of the most cowardly acts of militant Islamists was when US Sergeant Hasan Akbar, and militant Islamofascist killed two fellow officers and wounded 14 soldiers in the attack early on March 23, 2003, just before the start of the war against Iraq. The sergeant rolled grenades into troop tents in the northern Kuwait desert and then opened fire on soldiers. He was the first American since the Vietnam War to be prosecuted for murdering a fellow soldier during wartime.
I was delighted to read that this traitor to his country and murdering coward has been sentenced to death. The sooner the authorities carry it out the better - as Lt Col Michael Mulligan, the chief prosecutor said "He is a hate-filled, ideologically driven murderer," who attacked with "a cool mind" in order to achieve "maximum carnage." He highlighted an entry in a 1997 diary in which Akbar wrote: "My life will not be complete unless America is destroyed." Time to destroy Akbar!
