It's handbags at dawn between the UUP and the DUP over which Unionist Party is most responsible for accepting that Northern Ireland MP's can speak in the Irish Parliament in Dublin - according to this story in the Belfast Telegraph by journalistic giant, Noel McAdams. Ahem.
Reading this kind of pigswill, the echoes of which have pulsated across the letters page of the Newsletter for the past few weeks, I am forced to conclude that it does NOT matter a jot which of the Parties signed up to the grotesque constitutionally weakening idea - all that matters is WH0 will resolutely refuse to countenance it - even to the point of abandoning any prospect of devolution.
Listen to the silence from the two pathetic Unionist Parties, and their little sham fight, pretending to wring their hands when in reality they're counting the change.
Exactly, David.
It seems to the DUP that its ok just to blame everything on the UUP. Actually, I am not interested in who is to blame. I do, however, suspect that the DUP is guilty of underestimating our intelligence sometimes with some of the things they say.

Howard,
The pathetic "blame game" indulgences of the two Unionist Parties leaves me cold. They massively underestimate the intelligence of the pro-Union electorate but trust that dumbed down soundbites will get them by.

Its pretty obvious, they care more for our votes now than for any unionist principle.

Can't the same be said about not only the nationalist polticians but all of our NI polticians? I must admit I do not see any of them doing any real good - and that defintely goes as far down the chain as local councillors as well. They are all self-serving
